Health Privacy is Dead

by John Moore | January 21, 2009

digitalnativeThe tech guru/gadfly, Robert Scoble, formerly of Microsoft blogger fame and now with FastCompany put up a post on the microblogging site, friendfeed with the title:

Health Privacy is Dead, Here’s Why

Now Scoble is very well-known in the tech/social media circles, so when he does a controversial post such as this it gets a lot of attention and some great comments.  These comments are most likely not indicative of the broader public, but we would argue, that they are indicative of Digital Natives.

All stakeholders in the healthcare sector would be wise to heed these comments and begin opening the doors in support of consumer control and ultimately, secure, data liquidity of health records.  Your arguments regarding privacy are starting to fall on deaf ears.
