Clearly Stated: What is Holding Up EMR Adoption

by | Jul 31, 2008

Somewhat of a follow-on to the previous HIStalk post by Jonathan Bush, another HIStalk reader took the time to write a lengthy piece on his personal experiences of what actually is hindering EMR adoption at small physician practices.  He does an excellent job of framing the key hurdles as well as what he has done professionally as an implementer of EMR systems to overcome those hurdles.

Makes me wonder if there is anyone like this guy on one of those “Blue Ribbon” government committees.  If not, they ought to enlist him or at least bring him in for a discussion.
