Another HIT-focused Site Worth the Follow

by John Moore | April 01, 2009

infor1My friend, Will Crawford, and his team at Children’s Hospital here in Boston have just started their own Blog, info.rmatics.org, focusing on healthcare informatics and software development issues.  For those that do not know Will, he is the technical guru behind much of what is Indivo Health, the open source PHR platform that Dossia is using and he is a great resource/fountain of knowledge.  If you like what is written here, you’ll more than likely enjoy what Will and his team have to say.

  1. Thanks John! Very kind.

One clarification that I should make is that while we were deeply involved in Indivo and Dossia through the end of the 2008, we’ve handed off future Indivo development to the very strong academic team at Children’s Hospital, who should be able to keep up the Indivo tradition of envelope pushing.

At ISG now, we’re focusing on some broader Health IT issues, including the role of social networking and Web 2.0/3.0 collaboration tools on the research enterprise. In the process we’ve been learning a lot about how science gets done, and we should be able to share some of that, along with some in the trenches experience building software for the life sciences enterprise.

  2. Great site which I will try to follow regularly. I just set up my own healthcare IT blog at http://www.ehealthdesigns.com, focusing on developments in the federal sector.
